It’s with pleasure and great pride to announce that Dr. Rainer Froese, one of the brilliant founders of FishBase and lead author of advanced and novel stock assessment methods (CMSY/BSM, LBB and AMSY) has recently been nominated as finalist for the ‘Science Award‘ category under the ‘Ocean Awards 2020‘ which recognizes the individual (Rainer Froese) or research team (FishBase) that has made an original scientific contribution about the ocean this year. Nominees for this award are those who have significantly contributed towards a peer-reviewed publication, of a game-changing scientific study that is directly useful for the benefit of global marine conservation or ocean health.
