Q-quatics: A journey into the depths of digital creativity

On a recent venture into the heart of the city, the team explored two digital art museums where innovative installations delivered unique experiences for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The goal was simple – to immerse ourselves in art to help guide us in curating our own space that showcases the connection between art and marine life.

Space&Time Cube” at Maison, Pasay. The museum has different rooms, each featuring unique, eye-catching displays that offer something different to explore. It started with riding on a magic carpet, going through an amazing fantasy world adventure, descending to the depths of the sea. The highlight of the museum is passing through the “Space & Time Tunnel”, where you get to run alongside dinosaurs that were fleeing from a volcanic eruption, and ending the adventure with a moon festival. The whole experience made us feel dizzy, scared, and excited as we watched the intense simulation unfold.

Aside from the tunnel there were a series of interactive side activities. We partied at a light up dance floor, entered a mirror maze, went on a safari, and drew our own versions of fish, which were then digitized and animated on the screen. Last stop was the “Rail Cinema”, a motion simulator which had us screaming in excitement. Passing through the waterfalls felt real, as the droplets sprinkled added to the immersion.

A:Museum” at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. The exhibit had you walk through rooms with varying themes and artworks from different periods. The “Eternal Touches” section highlighted a collection of creative arts as the room transitioned from one masterpiece to another. We also entered the Portal of Lights”, a ball pit big enough to swim in, inviting people of all ages to rediscover their inner child. The flashing lights provided a colorful experience and brought in playful and joyful moments.

The “Wave of Masterpiece” presented the importance of a single dot in the creating art, as it magnifies each point and that their collection forms art as we know it. We then expressed our artistic side at the “Ground of Creativity.” We’ve seen futuristic art that will surely stand out in captured pictures. We dabbled in all the hands-on activities: digitizing our own vehicle designs, transforming ourselves into cubist self-portraits, constructing our own islands in the interactive sandbox, and channeling our dancing avatar thanks to hi-tech motion sensors.

The overall experience was a blast, truly making us feel that art touches the soul and captures the heart. We are reminded that nature inspires art, and that our work to promote marine life conservation can contribute to that. This further ignites our passion to perform well in our field, as we hope to influence the community’s interest in the beauty of the aquatic world.
