Kharl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries from the University of the Philippines Visayas. He has a strong interest in marine fisheries and oceanology and has experience in elucidating coral-associated bacterial communities using molecular techniques and exploring its associations with underlying environmental conditions. He is a Research Assistant at Q-quatics working on a project which involves reconstructing the global fisheries
Apart from his tasks and responsibilities at work, Kharl makes time to reconnect with his family and socialize with friends. His passion for unique experiences led him to scuba diving and freediving, where he continually gains valuable knowledge beyond the traditional classroom. One thing is certain, he’s always on the lookout for new shops and restaurants in his area.
