Lucas Brotz (PhD) is Q-quatics’ Cnidaria Scientist and has been studying jellyfish for more than a decade. He has been a member of numerous international working groups on jellyfish, and recently served on the Scientific Steering Committee for the 6th International Jellyfish Blooms Symposium held in Cape Town, South Africa. Lucas works with the Sea Around Us and is based at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries.
When not at his desk, Lucas can usually be found with his wife either on or in the water – SCUBA diving, sailing, or surfing.
