The 22nd FishBase and SeaLifeBase Symposium, themed “Fishes in Changing Ecosystems,” will be hosted in Thessaloniki, Greece on 2-3 September 2024, at the KEDEA Building of the Aristotle University Campus.
Day 1️⃣: Advances in the Gill Oxygen Limitation Theory (GOLT) Contributions test the Gill Oxygen Limitation Theory’s applicability to new topics or taxa, and/or quantifying some of its qualitative predictions.
Day 2️⃣: Fishes in Mare Nostrum Contributions related to FishBase and/or SeaLifeBase and the Mediterranean marine ecosystems.
The first day of the symposium, titled “Advances in the Gill Oxygen Limitation Theory (GOLT)”, will be led by Dr Daniel Pauly, FishBase co-creator, and is part of the celebrations of the 25th Anniversary of the Sea Around Us initiative of Dr Pauly at the University of British Columbia.
The second day is titled “Fishes in Mare Nostrum” and will include presentations on FishBase and/or SeaLifeBase-related topics with particular reference to the Mediterranean Sea.
